The much loved classic children’s book Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl has been transcended onto the silver screen – in a very British fashion.
This British film is both set and produced in the UK and follows the lovable story of Mr Fox and his family living their derelict home, when one day Mr Fox returns to his wicked ways as a chicken thief making their animal community at risk of being caught by evil farmers Boggis, Brunce and Bean, they must all team together to fight back but will the farmers ultimately catch the fantastic Mr Fox?
This fantastic film features voices from Meryl Streep, Bill Murray, William Dafoe and Owen Wilson amongst others.
Director Wes Anderson swapped CGI technology for homemade stop-motion in producing Fantastic Mr Fox and it has worked absoulte wonders. This is a true cinematic masterpiece and through Wes Anderson’s articulate techniques in direction – the characters of the novel truly come alive in the most humanistic way on the silver screen.

I saw this and It didn’t live up to my expectations, reason being I read the book as a kid and enjoyed and it just didn’t live up to my expectations and a lot was missing. The movie was still a good way to pass time and entertaining to much degree. 6/10.
