New Iron Man 2 Trailer

Check out the new feature Trailer for Iron Man 2, we get to see more of Rourke’s character Whiplash, more of Cheadle as  War Machine, Scarlet Johnansson as Black Widow and Downey Jnr looking mighty fetching as Tony Stark. Check it out below.

NB*If the trailer isn’t working you can view it here.

So far Iron Man 2 looks like it’s shaping up to be the flick of the summer. If you remember the ending from the first film, you’ll know that Stark revealed to all that he was Iron Man, so it looks as if we’re going to see the backlash of Stark’s revelation in this sequel.

Robert Downey Jnr

Robert Downey Jnr

Is it just me or is Downey Jr looking a little bit worse for wear? It’s probably all those movie’s he’s making, the dude needs to get some serious shut eye.

Iron Man 2 hits UK cinemas on April 30th 2010 (not soon enough).

Knight and Day (2010)

This summer Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise will again be reunited in new action comedy flick Knight and Day.

Diaz plays a woman who’s life get’s turned upside down when super spy Cruise takes her on the journey of her life in order to protect some kind of super battery. Looks like a pretty funny comedy, Cruise and Diaz do work well together so I may just pop down to my local cinema to see this one.

Repo Men (2010)

The up-coming science-fiction action thriller directed by Miguel Sapochnik starring Jude Law (Alfie) and Forest Whitaker (Vantage Point).

Set in the near future where artificial organs are bought on credit – a man who has purchased an artificial heart is struggling to make payments for it. A very slick system is in place to chase down those who do not pay in full for their artificial organs, so he must go on the run before his heart gets repossessed.

repo_men_poster_01

Originally called ‘Repossession Mambo’, Repo-men is a heavy and gritty action flick, with the action whipping by you can scarcely catch up. Filled with plenty of nail-biting sequences, and bloody scenes with bodily parts being re-possessed, this isn’t for the faint-hearted. Enjoy excellent performances by all the cast and is that isn’t enough – they’ve thrown in a small treat: a little feast for the eyes a.k.a. an extremely well-buffed Jude Law getting his muscles out for this action hero role.

Stay tuned for Repo-Men hitting cinemas in March 2010.

Chloe (2009)

Chloe is a very intriguing Drama/Thriller that caught my eye – starring Julianne Moore (Children of Men), Liam Neeson (Taken) and Amanda Seyfried (Jennifer’s Body).

Julianne Moore stars as Catherine alongisde Liam Neeson who plays David as the “perfectly married couple” with a teenage son but when David misses a flight and his surprise birthday party – Catherine starts to suspect that there is more than meets the eye. Her imagination runs wild with thoughts of David cheating on her and she decides to hire an escort to test his loyalty. Catherine employs attractive young Chloe and directs her encounters with David and Chloe reports back exactly what goes down in those encounters. However, as the meetings multiply, descriptions get more graphic and things start to get very out of control…

Chloe-Poster

Directed by Atom Egoyan who previously brought us Where the Truth Lies (2005), you are fore-warned that the sexual scenes are going to be of graphic nature, however fear not, it’s not trashy porn material – we are reassured that the eroticism is tastefully done.

If that doesn’t persuade you to see this erotic thriller – Julianne Moore gives a truly excellent performance whilst Amanda Seyfried is absolutely stunning as the steamy “seductress” – 100 times better than her performance in Jennifer’s Body.

Paranormal Activity 2

Looks like the low-budget turned supernatural sensation Paranormal Activity wants to do it again.

2paranormal_poster__opt11__

The sequel to the hugely successful Paranormal Activity 1 is slated for release on October 22nd 2010, just in time for Halloween, how smart!

Have they even started filming for it yet? But then again, it can’t take long filming 90 minutes of shadows, jolting and swinging chandeliers with a hand-held camera?

Only kidding, I can only be too pleased after immensely enjoying the first one, I’m looking forward to the volume of scares and plot development in this sequel.

Are you excited about the sequel?

Death at a Funeral (2010)

Death at a Funeral is a remake of the 2007 comedy of the same name. This new version has African-Americanized Dean Craig’s script from 3 years ago (plus this new one looks as though they had a slightly larger budget). Check out the trailer below for the remake of this comedy.

I confess I never got round to seeing the original, but I distinctly remember seeing trailers popping up here and there for the 2007 version, If I recall correctly I remember thinking Death at a Funeral (2007) looked like a quaint little English comedy that I would get round to watching someday.

Death at a Funeral stars comedian Chris ‘take him with a pinch of salt’ Rock, Zoe Saldana, James Marsden, Luke Wilson and the other guy in Bad Boys Martin Lawrence, at a funeral for their family member that goes awry when family secrets are exposed. I had my doubts but the trailer makes it look like a right laugh, here’s hoping all the funny bits weren’t in the trailer.

Inception (2010)

This summer Christopher Nolan’s, (director of The Dark Knight) next flick - Inception which he wrote, directed and produced hits theatres. Check out the mysterious trailer below.

Inception is being plugged as a sci-fi mystery set within the mind and stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a man named Cobb, who ends up getting involved in a blackmail scandal. This film certainly has an Equilibrium feel to it – another Chris Nolan film incidentally, but then again Equilibrium just tried too hard to be The Matrix. Either way looks like we’re going to see some mind bending stuff.  DiCaprio is joined by Marion Cotillard (Nine), Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later), Ken Watanabe (Batman Begins), Ellen Page (Juno) and the legendary Michael Caine (Harry Brown) makes an appearance.

Filming for Inception has taken them all over the world, with scenes being shot in our very own London at UCL, as well as Tokyo, Paris and Los Angeles.  All very mysterious at the moment but this one looks like it’s going to be another good one from Nolan; we do enjoy his work, more details as we get them.

The Rebound (2009)

Another rom-com joining It’s Complicated in the Box Office come 2010 will be The Rebound starring Catherine Zeta-Jones (Ocean’s Twelve) and Justin Bartha (The Hangover).

Zeta-Jones plays a housewife and mother of two who discovers her husband has been unfaithful and subsequently leaves him and home for a new life in New York city with her two kids. There she meets a young, fresh faced 25 year old man (Bartha) and the two begin a lustful romance, which only leads to increasingly obvious generation gaps, kids walking in on their the couple having sex and frustrated accusations.

Also starring Jake Cherry, Andrew Cherry, Eliza CallahanKate, Jennings Grant and Lynn Whitfield.

I’m not so sure about Zeta-Jones in a rom-com, it would be probably be as entertaining as chewing gravel but a few reviews have good things to say about her though her acting will never rival that of Chicago or Ocean’s Twelve. One of the more positive things is her on-screen chemistry with Justin Bartha – who undoubtedly is riding a wave of popularity right now after hit comedy The Hangover, you can be sure Bartha can certainly deliver his side of the humour whilst also portraying an infatuated 25 year old chasing after mature love.

Although the movie does convey a deeper meaning as opposed to lightweight rom-coms of this year (The Ugly Truth, The Proposal), you could argue that the plot is still on the weak side, not containing enough substance and could very well turn out to be a ‘miss’ rather than a ‘hit’.

We’ll just have to wait and see when it hits cinemas in April 2010, be sure to tell us what you think.

Tron Legacy (2010)

Next year Tron Legacy, the sequel to the 1982 cult classic TRON will hit cinemas. Check out the trailer below. So what will Tron Legacy be all about? Well the entire plot of Tron Legacy is all very hush hush at the moment and many have been speculating. Firstly though let me tell you a little bit about TRON.

TRON is one of those movies back from the 80’s that they show every now and again on TV. The likelihood is you’ve probably seen TRON and not even realised that you’ve seen it. Jeff Bridges (The Men Who Stare at Goats) played Kevin Flynn an arcade owner who wants to hack into his former company’s Encom computer system to find evidence that his former employer stole several of his game ideas. Flynn with the help of some friends manages to hack into Encom’s system but is thwarted by Encom’s powerful artificial intelligence program the MCP or Master Control Program. Flynn is then digitzied by the MCP and turned into a computer file….wait it does gets better, if you can get past all the 80’s cheese.

Flynn is imprisoned by the MCP along with TRON a security program written by Flynn’s friend, and the two together undergo tasks or games set by the MCP. Do they triumph and manage to stop the MCP? Well I won’t ruin it for you, you can find out by watching TRON which is available on DVD, for now let’s get back to Tron Legacy.

So not great deal is known on the plot of Tron Legacy, but Disney did release a synopsis of Tron Legacy, to sum up: Kevin Flynn’s son Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund – Murtagh from Eragon) looks into his father’s disappearance and is himself thrown into the same world of computer programs and gladiatorial games that are far more advanced than what his father faced 25 years earlier.

Also revealed was that Tron Legacy will show us at least “three or four things that have never been seen before in this movie” says director Joseph Kosinski said. Ah Joe how we are going to hold you to your word. We now expect this film to not just be good but to be awesome.

TRON was also recently immortalised in the popular role play game Kingdom Hearts 2, where Tron himself is playable character. So for those of you who can’t wait till next year for Tron Legacy you can immerse yourself in Space Paranoids, the name of the playable ‘world’ in Kingdom Hearts 2 that the TRON characters feature.

Tron Legacy looks stunning, just check out some of the stills alone. We’re excited for Tron 2 at TFB. It looks like a stellar cast, that joined with some notable writers and visionaries Tron Legacy will surely be a feast for the eyes.
